The fine print, simplified
Transfers between Rolamb accounts are free and post instantly. Domestic ACH transfers to other US banks are free, typically settling in 1 business day. International wires are a flat $25 regardless of amount or destination.
Digital statements are free, permanent, and available the day they're generated. Paper statements mailed monthly are $3/month — most customers switch to digital-only within the first month.
No foreign transaction fee on card purchases made abroad — you pay the exchange rate, not an extra 3% markup on top of it.
Savings and Term Certificate rates are reviewed monthly and can move with broader conditions. Any change to a rate on funds you already hold is never applied retroactively without 30 days' notice, per our Terms of Service.
Overdrafts & declines
A purchase that would overdraw your checking account is simply declined at checkout — the same way a card with insufficient funds is expected to behave everywhere else. No $35 surprise fee stacked on top of a $4 coffee.
If you'd rather a transaction succeed and pull from a linked savings account instead, you can enable that manually from your portal. There's no fee for that transfer either way.
Statements, without the mail
Digital statements never expire and never get lost in a drawer — search or download any month from your portal, going back to the day the account opened. Your card costs nothing to issue, freeze, or replace either, and ATM withdrawals at Rolamb-branded machines are always free.
Out-of-network ATMs may charge their own surcharge, which we don't mark up but also can't waive on your behalf — that fee belongs to the machine's owner, not us.
Account maintenance
No minimum balance to avoid a fee, no "average daily balance" calculation to keep track of — Everyday Checking and Horizon Savings simply never charge one, whether you're carrying $50 or $50,000.
Term Certificates closed before maturity forfeit 90 days of interest as an early-withdrawal fee. The principal you deposited is always protected, no matter when you close it.
If it's not on this page, it's genuinely because it doesn't apply to your account.
